How did the gasket fit the intake ports before installation? If the runners are still unmounted, look thru the base tubes and see what it looks like thru there. Also, see if the gasket looks the same on the outer edges between the intake and valve area. Look for uniformity on each side (vs gasket that dips down where it's pinched under the intake.

A little bit of gasket visible won't "hurt" if it's not blocking your injector nozzle or significantly protruding into the intake port(s).

Did you use any adhesive around the water ports to "anchor" the gasket before installation? If not and you do it again, try that.

thanks for your help... yep i put seallent on the water ports before and after i put the gasket on, i guess i just wasnt paying the right amount of attention to the right areas and thats why i put it on a little wop jawed. i couldnt find anywhere where the gasket seemed to dip down or was pinched so thats good, i decided im going to put it back together if it leaks im going to pull the block and do the whole motor, if not i will wish it leaked so i would pull the block and do the whole motor.
I bought this car to restore and resell and then buy another and do the same. since you have done alot of work to you ride, which i must say is pretty bad *** i will ask you, do you think having a more built less stock motor i.e. ported and pollished intake, more agressive cam and exhuast put on as well as any neccessary component, would add any cash sale value to the car vs. leaving it stock? keep in mind i bought it to sell it

Upgrading the car performance wise will add value to the car, but not as much as you paid for it. If you put a new heads cam intake package worth 5000 dollars in the car, you aren't going to get another 5000 dollars on your resale value. Its a losing game.
