Car Running Finally (video)........
Ok, my car survived divorce...yaaaa.

After going through two recent engine builds (Jensen engines screwed me royally on the first one
). . .And crazy vacuum leaks (brake booster cracked from header heat)
And new bosch platinum 4 plugs crapping out on me.
and a few other pains. . . here is it.
For those who are interested:
Build:
Punched out to .060. (yeah I know that makes it a 388!)
Stroked to 3.75”
Rotating assembly balanced on Hines machine.
Compstar Rods with ARP 2000 bolts
Forged Eagle Crank
King Bearings
Rhoads Lifters

Probe Forged pistons, 12cc flats.
Hastings moly rings
Stock head gasket
Compression 10.5 to1.
New $80.00 Ebay Opti (running like a charm for now)
Cloyes Double Roller
Meizure 55gpm electric water pump
3.07 D36 rear
Heads were ported and cleaned up by Len Sabatine. He fixed my screwed up home port job.
4l60E beefed up sunshell, Z-pack 2-3 clutch n steels, rest are red altos
GM 2200 stall from an S10 truck.
New stock radiator. (probably could use a bigger rad.)
C6 wheels 18/19” 305/30/19” in the back. Required ¾” spacers on rear.
Magnaflow cat back awesome sounding!!!!

Stage 8 locking bolts
Rebuilt alternator (bought kit n did it myself)
Next Winter: Car will be stripped exterior and interior. Exterior professionally painted and interior refreshened with carbon fiber panels and new carpets. Long tube headers and larger diameter exhaust front to back. (4")

Point of note. A number of people here on the forum were against the XFI 280 cam because they claimed that "it sounds too much like a stock cam" and "you'll get more power with a custom cam."
Well, I disagree with the first statement and agree with the second one, but I dont think a custom cam would have been tons more power though.
With the Rhoads lifters, I totally eliminated the split BLM problem i had and now have a crisper throttle response. I'll post a video of it when i do.
I do believe this car would pass a sniffer test, although it is not required in the state of Pennsylvania.
I'm really happy with it.
In a few weeks, I will run it down the quarter mile at Island Dragway in Great Meadows NJ. Judging on the way she drives now, I am guessing mid to low 12s if the Potenzas dont slip too much..
