Hi,I had a hole in my windshield this week.-don;t ask how it happened-- about the size of a 50 cent piece.the glass shop said any thing bigger then a quarter can not be repaired. so i ordered a new windshield- $230- installed . i hope this helps.
That is cheap. They must have reused everything, moldings, weatherstripping, etc.
I hope you leak checked it. As it is real easy for water to leak past the windshield/trim or behind the weatherstrip retainer when you get the windshield replaced. As there are shops out there who just bolt those pieces back on without cleaning off the old foam and resealing it.
