Default WOT problem ?

Hi guys ! im about to get back on the streets and today
setting my TPS voltage i found out something at WOT.

i have a 58 mm Holley Throttle body and Super Ram, using my stock bracket.

Well, i succesfully set the TPS at .54 and i when i wanted to verify what voltage was at full WOT, i found it was only showing 3.91
i know it was capable of opening the blades a bit more, but this was not possible because a little bump on the cable (detailed in green) touching the sleeve :

I took off the cable from the lever and moved the throttle and yes it was capable of open a bit more showing 4.38

I made a quick animation to show you how much travel im losing
because of this bumper:

Please check THIS

Is this normal ?
Should i cut the sleeve to allow the cable to travel more ?

I never noticed this before with the original TB but im not sure
maybe i didn't noticed it and maybe i never pressed the pedal to the metal...

Thanks !

I made a spacer out of 3/8" aluminum and put it on the other side of the bracket you are showing in the picture. It has the same size square cutout as the bracket and goes between the bracket and the cable fitting and it pushes the cable back 3/8" and essentially "tightens" up the slack in the cable. This will enable you to achieve wot. Hope this makes sense. You can change the thickness of the spacer to achieve what you want.

It looked cut a little uneven!

I checked mine and I have mine connected to the outer pin, the one not used in the picture above.

If you trim the sheath make sure not to trim it very far. The inner sheath could come out of the outer sheath and get the car stuck at WOT.

I just went out to the garage for a look. I actually used the spacer when I carbed my motor. But the idea will work. Just use a piece of metal with a square hole the same size as the opening in the throttle bracket. Just disconnect the cable from the throttlebody, pull it through the bracket, put the spacer on the firewall side of the bracket and thread the cable through the hole. Reconnect the cable to the throttlebody and you should have your wot.

Can you slot the mounting holes for the bracket ? Seems like you only need a little more room to pull the cable.
