Knock question
Question regarding knock.
I am pretty happy with the tune I have on my 383./ 89 corvette
So over the past couple of days I've been data logging more aggressive driving to make sure there's no holes in the tune.
I find that when I down shift and smash the gas hard, the data log shows 1 knock count but no knock retard( which I know to be active)
Does this sound like a real knock or a false reading from the knock sensor?
I noticed this a couple of days ago, then I took a little spark advance out and today tried it again. I still get the 1 knock count.
I guess I could take more advance out and see if I still get the knock.
I was surprised I didn't see any knock retard.

One count is will not pull much retard and the scanner may not pick it up. It may be a false knock due to the sudden downshift and quick increase in engine speed. I would not worry about it too much.
