I guess you didn't give them the part number I posted and instead just asked for it by name. I've found that obtaining part numbers off their site and just giving them that works the best. A lot of times you're dealing with younger guys who don't know what you're talking about. Plus their site shows in near real time weather an item is in stock at a particular store or not. I have found it to be very accurate. If it's something you have to order the shipping is usually next day and free.
i called before i read your post. I called back with the part # and he said nothing in his system at all. So the guy that did find me the light was about 28. All the 50 yr olds were clueless.
I was going to bribe you with milk and cookies Seriously though I don't care how old you are, if you are going to sell parts as a living atleast get a clue. One guy thought I was inventing a tool, Another insisted it's called a test light, while he tried to sell me a regular test light. Then I walk up to the kid, ask for a noid light and he says he could get one monday. Don't get me wrong I have all the respect in the world for you guys on here.
The ECM looks for a reference signal from ignition module, before it will fire the injectors. Be sure the 4 pin connector at base of dizzy is clean and tight.
Where exactly is the 3 pin connector at the base of the dizzy? Do you mean the base of the distributor? Is the connector in the front or back? Might you have a photo or diagram?
The connector he is talking about is on the driverside of the dristributor towards the firewall. The injector fuses or on the very right hand side of the dash. Open the passenger door and look for the cover on the side of the dash. Im used to building jeeps. This is my first corvette rodeo so I know very little.
Well I got it running today. Threw a new ecm at it and she fired right up. Runs very well with excellent oil pressure. Thank you very much for all of the help guys.
