Default Adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

Any advantages to be had by putting this on an otherwise stock setup. 86 L98. Would there be any SOTP improvement?
Thanks,

Increased fuel pressure results in better atomization of fuel but you wouldn't realize much gain on a bone stock motor.

This mod is normally used in conjunction with air flow improvements to match fuel to air at WOT.

a little bit of info I gleened here and there, is that more pressure would add more fuel to an already rich running motor. I understand GM tunes some of the fuel curves somewhat rich. (?) My own empirical testing further verified this to me. I actually had an AFPR, 26lb'ers at one point. Motor ran like crap. Took the AFPR off, returned to stock press. (no other changes) and it got better.
Also,
a remote possibility when someone goes too extreme with pressure, it forces the injectors to stay open.
