Default Cam wore out
I got a loud tapping noise on my 1992, took it to my mechanic and he said the cam had worn out with just 286,361 miles on the engine? Time to replace it with the new 427.

Thanks, but I have had the new 427 sitting in my garage for a while, just waiting to see how far the org engine would go.

I have to applaud you for this. If I had a new 427 sitting in my garage waiting for the orginal engine to go I'd probably pull a spark plug wire off and claim it has a terminal miss! Time for the 427 NOW!
