the mustang is going to smoke you. the 3.73's alone with a stock 5.0 makes for a quik car.
quick in the early 90's, but not so quick anymore. like i said i have 1st hand experience, and there is no way he will get smoked if the stang motor was rebuilt to near stock specs. those cars put out around 190rwhp.

where do you get 190 from? mine had 225 .... so 20hp under a L-98
This will be dictated by the start. I had an 89 auto,and a 90 6speed. One of my friends had an 88 5.0 lx.The auto would run even. He always took me in the six speed. We had a friend w a 85 vette then. Some small mods, exhaust but so did the mustang guy. The three of us swapped cars to race many times. The autos were even mostly. When I got the six speed the car just wouldn't keep up. Both those vettes were new. All three of us drove it,and had a bet as to who could drive it faster!
