You don't have AC or just don't want to get it fixed? Just wondered!!!
Just havent fixed it. I dont really drive it that much in the winter either. Just kinda a joke with all of the guys talking about putting their cars up for the winter
Along with my C4, I have owned a C5Z06 and currently an 08 Z06. The last two are much hotter than the C4.

It's funny that you say that... as a daily driver my C5Z seems WAY cooler and more comfortable in regards to temperature than my C4 was. They are all hot though... you have a lot of heat with the engine, trans, and exhaust stuffed up under the tunnel.

The common heat problem thru the tunnel is why I chose to use thermal wrap on the header collectors back to the center muffler to help reduce the heat. I dont run cats. It also helps reduce transmission fluid heat due to its close proximity to the exhast piping with an automatic.I know it's not for everyone but it works for me because the car stays in the garage and not driven in the rain so the wrap stays dry to help prevent possible moisture build up and early deterioration risk in the piping.

I took the cowl seal off and the insides cockpit don't get hot anymore even in 90+ degrees here in LA... the AC works faster and better, engine cools faster after shutdown, and I can hear the sewing machine roller Crane Golds... music!
There is less radiant heat bearing down on the firewall super heating the air intake ductwork leading to the AC evap. and the condenser get a rush of fresh air ... this is my theory so far
I have an 87 that i just restored and started driving and it seems that when i am driving it gets a little warm inside almost like the heater is on low but is not. Is it normal for these cars to get warm inside while driving? If so what can i do to help the situation? Any advice?

Glad you found the problem that is uncomfortable. You removed the cats and I assume the L98 also has heat shields, Do they?
My LT1 has them and the Vette is comfortable inside, the 96 has no shields because I bought new cats. It was extremely hot by my legs so I bought and wrapped the cats and the pipes all the way to the end of the ZF tranny and it is more pleasant to drive now.

Are you talking about the 2" to 3" black plastic seal near the windshield wipers?
Are you talking about the 2" to 3" black plastic seal near the windshield wipers?
yes.... it stops the water from getting in, and fumes/noise/etc from getting out including heat, which we all know rises and has no where to go...
it's good for me, i like it, I'm leaving like that, the mod is reversible.
the motor, cools off fast, I read somewhere a dude, checked the under hood temps after 2 hours and it went up..., after a few minutes, my engine in under the closeloop threshold.
you spend all that money on new parts under the hood ( you name it I could give you a $20,000 list), and you cook the living crap out of it, and YOU are hot and bothered to boot, I'd rather get hot and bother elsewhere....
