So I've got a few things going on that I want to get an expert opinion on (meaning actually having a Corvette experienced person drive the car and tell me what's going on). I see J & D Corvette advertised all over this board. Any personal experiences with them? Good place to go?
Also, there's a place out here in So Cal in Anaheim called Coast Corvette. I've seen the place for 100 years but don't know anything about them. Anybody deal with them and know if they're any good?
I haven't had coast do any work, but when I checked with them on a few things, I thought they were overprice. The stuff in the shop looked good if you wanted a showroom resto, but repair and parts were stiff.
As far as mechanical Cormier off the 405 is the best in the area and very fair, but it will depend on where you are located. I am in Misson Viejo so I only use them for the stuff my regular mechanic can't figure out or is unsure of.
Well, here's the update: They did a TON of work on my car... it cost a bit of $$$, but I don't feel it was over and above what it should have been. Noe at J & D treated me well and stuck to what he promised. The car is running better than it has since I bought it. It'll never be a 700 HP blown ZR-1 (or whatever they are now), but it's purring like a kitten! We leave 02/18 to drive it to Vegas... That will be the test.
