So, then, are you're saying that there is no coolant going through the intake manifold on the LT1/LT4? I didn't know that.

Jake

[SNIP]This is piece of cake...just take a good look at all the wires/sensors/hoses-make a diagram to make it idiot (me) proof if you would like.

LT1/4's are much, much easier than L98 that JAKE is referring to.

Matter of fact if you do or have done the TB bypass, you don't even have to mess with any of the coolant system! Only coolant is in the Throttle Body (TB)![/SNIP]

You can clean the gasket surfaces with isopropyl alcohol. Works very good. You can torque the bolts down and wait about 30 minutes and torque again. Wait an hour and torque again and it should be fine. There really is no need to let it set over night, as long as you check the torque about three times it should be good.

Also put permatex type 2 on all of the intake bolts and apply a small amount of black rtv around the coolant passages on the intake gaskets if you have them. Sorry for the double post, I've had a few tall boys.

Did mine in about 2 hours that also included swapping the injectors out. It's alot easier than it looks.

No coolant within the intake whatsoever, just the throttle body for heating.

The design is so much cleaner...I pulled the passenger valve cover tonight in 3 minutes-no muss no fuss...I love Corvettes:)
