Hedmen Elites 68448, for you guys that got them.
How are they holding up?
Coating?
If you have any photos of the flange that bolts to the heads would be great as well. Would like to see the actual thickness of that.
I already use the Hedmen 68440's so fitment is no problem.
Just trying to decide on the elites or hooker 2151's.
thanks guys..

The coating really seems to help, they cool down real real fast
after an hour of driving , you can touch them with your bare hand in a couple of minutes maybe 10-15 minutes.
I suggest a rear alternator brace for them because your stock brace won't work anymore.
I suggest thicker gaskets, the ones that comes with them can burn and break and can cause a leak (happened to me leading me to think i had valve problems ).
Make sure the port matches your heads, mine doesn't match the AFRs but they work fine, but i will upgrade them sometime in the future
maybe for 1 3/4s.
Here for you a couple of pictures when i was installing them :
The flanges are a lot thicker than the 68440's.
thanks for the info an the alt bracket and stuff but I already have all that done. My 68440's are identical except for uncoated and that flange is a lot thinner. This switch for me would be a very easy swap.
Yours were put on this year?
I'd like to know how that coating is after 2 or 3 years of use.
Yes and no the Fast burn heads have a raised design like the LT4 heads and the Headman headers covered the top of the ports. I think 1 3/4 headers no matter the shape of the port will work.
in the future i might upgrade to 1 3/4 coated, but they are too expensive :
Hooker Headers 2151-1HKR - Hooker Super Competition Headers
Hooker Headers 2149HKR - Hooker Super Competition Headers
But they run for 629.95 to 689.95 which is a lot !!!
I know what you mean i am bolting on stock LT1 exhaust. Until I saw it in person I never realized how big and well made it was. Pretty much true dual exhaust with shorty headers 2 3/4 all the way.

I almost went with those but i don't really care to much how close the flanges sit next to the tunnel. The flanges on the hedmens sitting a bit further away so I don't worry about the heat.
I hate to say this but.. with your set up I bet those headers are costing you some power.
When i bought them i had 128's,zz4 cam and the TPI
i never thought i was going to have the SR/AFR195/219
That's why i upgraded to 3000 stall vigilante, the difference was
a lot ... do you think i need 1 3/4's ? its somewhere on my upgrade list,im considering it ,
its not a priority, but its definitely there !

Yes, If your ports are partially blocked you have an exhaust restriction.
