Torchredlt4man, you just save me about $40.00. Something that simple, I will definitely do myself. The symptoms noted in the video and on their website leads me to believe that its probably my solenoid and not brushes. (I believe anciano said the same thing)

"These starters fail it is almost always a problem with worn out solenoid contacts and plunger. The common symptom is a
click- click- click and then it will start. Replacement units are usually higher priced than most because of the superior
design. Repair is easy with the solenoid repair kit and will save you or your customer money while offering a dependable
starter repair . Denso starter solenoid repair is a great alternative to costly new and rebuilt starters."

Picking up my kit tomorrow. I love these forums!

You are very welcome!

Every starter solenoid that I have repaired is still working today.

Take your time. Clean up everything with electrical parts cleaner or brake cleaner. Make sure the contacts are straight when you tighten up the nuts.

These starters will work for miles and miles.

While test driving your Vette, be sure to SAVE the WAVE!
