Default Throttle body purchase

I am going to have to replace my throttle body('92 LT1). I have seen several rebuilt units that are about 1/2 the price of a new one. Does any one have a recommendation for any of the rebuilders. Several have been listed on e-bay.

There is a company that sells them on E-bay based in Austin TX. As far as I know they have good reviews and also offer different sizes. I will be getting a 52mm from them sometime soon.

I don't think a rebuild is worth the extra time/money effort just to save a few $. From what I understand TB rebuilders want a good "core" from you. Which means you'll have to dish out a core charge($) in advance and/or pay core shipping/insurance/tracking charges($) to get your good core to them.

Factor the cost of the rebuilt/overbored unit and 2 shipping charges (or 1 shipping charge and 1 core charge) and your really not saving much.

Good super low milage standared or larger aftermarket TB show up in the C4 FS sections from time to time....doesn't hurt to check flEaBAY for new or low mileage used stuff either.

if you are to buy a new 52mm tb do you have to modify the holes in the plenum for fit?

The LT1 intake doesn't need to be modified to run a 52mm TB.
