Basically 2 items come to mind for this limited information.
A common cause would be the ICM (ignition control module). It's on the right side front of the heads near the coil area. The ICM is a solid sate device and heat will affect it when it goes bad. This is one of a few symptoms it can exhibit.
The other item is a bad fuel pump. It just may be quitting at various times.
However the ICM is a common device that causes much of the problems you describe. I would put in a ICM first before I would change the fuel pump.
Now if you were able to check some things out when it quits, like if it had no spark, that could narrow things down.

I second the icm replacement. it is a 20 dollar part and a 15 minute change. just dont drop those lil D@MN bolts. also they are a 7/32 size which is odd. probably in reality a 5.5mm but a 7/32 works fine.
