Default 1990 LS3 swap dyno

I had the car fully tuned yesterday. Here are a couple of videos and graphs from the dyno portion of it. It was dynoed on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. The tuner said that it might have some more in it, but we will have to dyno it in second gear due to the 2.59 rear maxing out the speed of the dyno.

This is a bone stock LS3 with stock C6 manifold and cats. The swap now has 1000 miles on it and is a daily driver.

That engine bay is a tight looking package. Very nice!

How come the pulls end at 5800? Doesn't that engine peak at 6k, and red at 6500?

I had the exact same question. Power appears to be plateaued at 5600-5800, but I wouldn't shift just yet! Like to see motors run up to the point power breaks off, or hits the limiter to get a full picture.

That said, it does look to have a very nice torque curve; 90% of full value from just off idle to approx. 5400, except for the slight bog from approx. 2600 to 3100 rpm.

Good numbers. Ought to make for a very nice (fun!) driver; one that will not demand a lot of gear rowing in traffic (something I appreciated on my '95 LT1 Vette).

Tried to watch video and could not. Went back and realized that this is a 2&1/2 year old post! But it does sound like a nice car!

The 2.59 gears maxed out the dyno speed in third gear which didn't allow us to make higher RPM pulls. At the time the auto shifter was out of adjustment and wouldn't go into 1st or 2nd gear.

Agent,
What do you do about your onerous smog regulations out there at lax????? do you have to meet 1990 OR 2006 LIMITS? Regular inspection pass? Visual? Referee? Where?

Thanks
Mick
