No Hatch Ajar light

No Hatch Ajar light
After searching the forum I've got to ask for help.
'96 Cpe and the "Hatch Ajar" light does not show in the dash. All of the courtesy lights work and the "door ajar" indicator works for both doors. I pulled the hatch ajar switch and there was no power to the switch. All the fuses are good unless I missed one. Any ideas would really be appreciated.
Thanks everyone.

Quick reply
No time right now, but when I get a chance I will check the FSM and see if I could get a definite answer.
However it is possible the switch might be a ground return from the CCM and have minimal voltage on it. Also check the bulb in the DIP panel and see if it is burned out.

If you look in the mirror and see the hatch open, it's ajar. Just being funny. Good luck.

Not sure how much I can help on your 96, I have a 94. We might need to re-group, not sure. Don’t know if your car is different than mine in that area or not. I to have a door ajar on my Speedo but I do not have a hatch agar light anywhere (speedo or DIP).
However when the hatch is open, the security light on the Speedo flashes. I did check the FSM and the agar switch which is normally open, goes to ground, and the other terminal goes to a CCM input terminal. The security light is part of the thief system and is driven by different inputs to the CCM and the logic in the CCM firmware.
So it looks like my "hatch indicator" is the security light. Is it possible that you never had a "hatch ajar light? If you did definitly have one, it must me a 96 item.

That's exactly what is happening. Thanks for saving me from a lot of work and insanity. I really appreciate the help.
