New Pillar Weatherstrip Problem

New Pillar Weatherstrip Problem
Replaced the pillar weatherstrip after getting a new windshield and now the interior lights stay on telling me one or both of the door switches are not being pushed in. I have even tried unscrewing them out a bit and still they stay on. It must be both because if I sit and hold either one in for a few minutes they still do not go off.
Anybody experienced this before with new weatherstrip?
