Default Heater core question

I'm nearly done tearing my '87 convertible apart. I'm down to the heater core cover. Is there a secret to getting it to come off? I've followed directions that are archived here to a "T" and it won't budge. The bottom seperates but the top part won't. Are there screws in the top part? I can't see any nor can I feel any.
This is a tough job. I've discovered words that I thought I had long ago forgotten.
I would appreciate your help.
Thanks, Pete

My recollection from my '84 is 2 screws up top. A double jointed monkey would be of great help.

This is a tough job.
That is why, having done it, I advise trading the car.

I've discovered words that I thought I had long ago forgotten.
This project will broaden your vocabulary. Have fun.

Try taking off the dashpad. If you look carefully you should be able to find at least a couple more screws on the top part of that cover.

Well, I'm now a member of the club that have replaced their heater core. I finished this afternoon and all went well. I appreciated the answers from you guy's. Scoob's pages really helped. I had found them earlier using search.
Again, thanks!
