We fired it up today with open headers and it really sounds healthy, oh that was you? I thought I heard horsepower!
I'm telling you, it's gonna be a terror.
Congrats! It's gotta be feeling good.
Thanks Zelement! I think your car is going to have some nutty go to match the show! what are you expecting for times? on and off the bottle?
JD,
I don't want to get my hopes up too high, so for right now I think about 360RWHP on the motor and 470RWHP on the juice. As for times, I think low 12s on motor and low 11s on juice. However, I believe 10s are possible if we tune it right.
Zelement,
It looks great, can't wait to hear/see it run on some videos.
That Samco hose looks awesome, I should have purchased it during the GP :mad
I will post an mpeg of the car when we fire it up when the exhaust is done.
You didn't participate in the samco GP?? I thought you did?
When are you gonna order the Fikses? BTW: I had problems with wheelehancement in L.A. and cancelled the order. Instead, I called Nate and he matched the prices so I am getting it from him. Call him for the best prices, he will do it just have to haggle with him a little.
BRITS that is the name of the company, they are located in CA, and Victor is the contact name. I have to find the number for BRITS but if you search for authorized Samco distributors you will find them. Good luck.
hey.. i don't know what this samco is you guys are talking about but where did you get the piece that replaces the accordion between the airbox and the throttle body? i have a 58mm throttle body and the stock one won't fit right
I was there when it was fired off, and the motor looks and sounds really nice. It is hella loud and sounds extremely pissed off , can't wait to see it race.

Re: Fired up the Beast today! (SonnyinVA)
The hose that replaces the accordian duct is the SAMCO hose Paul & Hammer are referring to.
We organised the GP through Victor at BRITS - vmiral@britsinc.com
The recommended retail at the time was about $200. The quoted waiting time (they have to be special ordered from the U.K.) was five weeks but I think it took a little longer - nobodies fault though, just a heads up if anyone buys one...
We were very lucky to get the GP going, don't know if Victor will be able to do it again...
I should get mine this week :D, there was a holdup as Victor couldn't get a hold of me to get some details...
JD, I doubt they would make a measurable performance difference... Some of us bought um' cause they look purty.... :jester
P.S - zelement, you have got to have one of the sweetest C4's on this forum... :yesnod:
Andrew, You still haven't received the hose yet? I got mine over 4 months ago!
corvette0096, I believed the shop just used regular 10-30 oil. You can't use sythetic for a new engine because the rings won't seat properly. It's either 10-30 or 10-40.

You got yours that long ago?:eek: I've always wanted one but was quite prepared to wait some time for it to arrive. If anything, it is my fault it took so long because I didn't follow it up with Victor because I was expecting it to take a long time to ship (from BRITS to me over here in Australia) and didn't check with him about things sooner.
There were communication problems at my end that I wasn't aware of - Victor seemed to have been waiting for a re-confirmation on delivery method from me and I didn't get his e-mails. That, combined with my expecting it to take a while to ship over here (and not checking with Victor about it sooner because of this presumption :bb) contributed to my not getting it yet.
