Beat by cobalt ss ?
OK, had the vette out today and it has been since Early DEC that it has been run. Drove up the highway and got back on and noticed a COBALT SS with the stupid little muffler on my tail and he jumped me and pulled on me ? I almost cought up but there was to much traffic. Now I understand This is only a 1990 that might be in need of a new fuel pump but are those new little COBALT SS that fast or is my Vette that slow ?
I think i am in need of a WAKE UP KIT for my Vette !

Don't race a new accord or anything new with a V6.
I am just about done with a 75hp increase to my 94 due to the same reasons.
Yes the cobalt SS and the little neon srt are pretty quick. It would be too close to call a winner if you raced again. It is sad I know I am just as confused and upset. Life moves on. Enjoy your vette because most of those drivers are still a little nervous of some of us.

Don't take those supercharged Cobalt's for granted.
There are quite a few of them that will put most C4's to shame.
Turn up the boost, and those things will run in the 13's
Had one on Power Tour a few years ago, hitting 11's at the venues with drag strips.
And then he drove to the next venue getting 30 mpg

The 260hp Cobalt SS turbo with a stage 2 setup puts down over 300hp to the front wheels. Add that to the sub-3k lb weight and it's fast. Stupid fast. They also handle really well and can stop on a dime.

It just keeps marching forward.
Even a 1996 LT1 is 15 years old now.
Every year auto manufacturers make changes and new technology comes along that allows more power.
Go compare a new Corvette to a Cobalt, not a 20+ year old car.

What year is your vette? 1990, lets see its 21 years old and still looks good. Where do you think that cobalt is going to be in 21 years? Either a junkyard or crushed. It never looked good when it was new and it will never look good in 21 years. I dont care how fast it is, Just my opinion.
