You can just port the CFI intake and get that gain.
For the money spent, no gain. A well ported stock crossfire intake will show a great gain over the stock crossfire manifold. DCS challenged me to a "manifold showdown", their renegade vs my home ported intake, that was supposed to be taking place right about now. I (we've) been waiting to hear of the arrangements times dates, hotels/motels, etc. for the showdown. Is DCS still alive?

RACE ON!!!

I'll call and get back to you, do you happen to have an order number, that they would have generated when you made the purchase?

They never sent me an order number. I just have the paypal receipt above. This is the email I got from Jim:

From: Jim
Date: 29/10/2010 4:58:01 AM
To: 'Steve Abbot'
Subject: RE: Abbot: Receipt for Your Payment to Dynamic Crossfire Solutions

You are on the schedule and we are shipping them as fast as we get them from the foundry and machine shop. It will probably be the end of Nov before we ship yours. If this is a problem let me know.

Regards,

Jim

You're very welcome, you give good tech. info on the site. I'm presently in Socal. There is a pretty good vette group in chandler and Ive pm'd 'LMBZ4ME' who seems to be their organizer to see if he can shed some light as to weather those folks are still operating and possibly if he knows any other info on them. I will keep calling. I wont message on this thread any more till tomorrow unless I get some action from that end, didnt want you to think you were being blown off.

Jim with DCS just returned my call from arizona, I told him that you were dwn south and were trying to avoid those nasty international phone charges. He stated that the foundry did a slowdown on him and that everything is back on track now. He will pick up the batch of raw manifolds on or about the 20th of Feb. and will have the machine work completed, to ship it out middle of march to first of april. He said he's very sorry he didnt get back to you, but he also had an employee issue that he has resolved. He did add that due to the issues , the shipping cost would be paid by him. Hope this helps.....also got a reply to my pm to
LMBZ4ME, who offered to help, guess it is a community.

My 84 is RHD. The steering conversion is done by chain drive behind the dash so under the hood is as per the factory. I will take some pics from inside the car.

Imported cars to Western Australia pre 90 can be registered as LHD. Not sure about other Australian states. My 87 for example is LHD.

I hope to shed a little light on this issue as well. DCS is legit and we didn't run off with anyone's cash. I was forced to move to NM to take another position and it has caused a few issues within DCS, but they are temporary I assure you and plan on setting up another outlet in NM called DCS East.

However, the foundry is causing us more grief again on the pour schedule and it seems no matter what we do, it's never enough when it comes to manifold castings. Jim is picking some up I believe Saturday and I'll be back in Phoenix on Wed. Jim and I will be going over the foundry issues together and see what can be done. Believe me when I say this issue with them is killing us.

As far as the Shootout goes, since I had to leave, Jim was going to take over that and we did talk about pushing it back a month because of his family issues out of state and the weather for folks coming in from other states. He also said that he was going to be posting an update on Smoking Vette. I haven't checked to see if that happened. This is another item that we will be talking about when I get back to Phoenix. Sorry for any confusion, but there is a lot of things going on for both of us right now.
