My friend has a 95 coupe, after the headlights rotate to the on (open) position the motors(acturators) keep running for a few seconds then stop. Any suggestions.
The bushings and gear assembly are probably warn out in the motor assembly. You can buy them in nylon or metal. You can buy them from Eckler's, Mid America and several other places.

Both at the same time, that strange. How hard to disassembly the motors, my friend does not have a service manual.
Look up at the top of this page for the sticky about headlights, it details and answers every question you are asking. Some of the pics may not work but the info is still good.

Thanks for the info

I have done several headlight repairs over the last 15 years but last time was on the vette in 2004 and had no problems since. I just could not remember exactly what parts I replaced but actually found the receipt. I just did the bushings at that time in 04 and did not change the gears, guess it was OK.
You don’t take the motor apart only the gear output assembly. The above thread as indicated (by HlhnEast) in post 37 has a good pix (page 2). Here are the basic instructions.
