There used to be an expensive gadget you could buy that you could have installed at home to fuel your CNG car but the web site died a year or so ago.
Here's a guy promoting a hydrogen system, but he seems to be a bit of a nut (check out his parent site):

I was showing a friend my new Vette & his response was that he had a big block '70 at home. I felt very humble 'til he mentioned getting 8MPG. If/when the price of gas doubles my Vette might end up in the garage just like his. A CNG conversion could forstall that and get you a white carpool sticker too.
'Course then there's electric. I pass the Tesla dealership every Saturday afternoon...
Well I answered one of my questions but I cant find fuel economy info...
Southern California Gas estimates CNG currently costs about 40 percent less than gasoline. As of July 2005, PG&E charges approximately $1.40 per therm, equivalent to about $1.78 per gasoline gallon, for CNG used as a motor fuel.

Here's a wikipedia page comparing the energy available from various fuels:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gasoline_gallon_equivalent
Looks like the $ per gge unit more-or-less allows you to compare CNG and gasoline at equivalent amounts of energy per $.
Oh, and if someone looks at this at some later date I paid $4.19/gal for 91 octane 9 days ago and $3.999 for 87 octane 3 days ago.

A dual fuel system might make sense for an urban commute. Use the CNG in town with the hassle of frequent fuelings & gas for road trips. Kinda analogous to a plug in hybrid---all electric for commutes & gas/electric on the open road.
Honestly, I'm not going to do this any time soon, but you can see the idea itrigues me.
P.S. Maverick1453: Sorry if I've hijacked your thread. Any of this helpful or did you wander off long ago?

They know all about converting Corvettes to CNG!

The BIG thing in the way of that sort of conversion is that the EPA consider it 'tampering' and is therefore illegal, unless the system is certified by the EPA. The AGA/CNG store guys regularly certify various packages. They've been working on one for a 7.0 LS6 motor.
