Sorry it is a 1989. It will lose spark. I have change distributor, ignition module and the ignition switch.
If you got spark look somewhere else for problems. Try checking the resistance (ohm) or go ahead and just change out the fuel injectors. The stock Multech fuel injectors in the '89 vettes are problematic to say the least......switch to an ethanol compliant set of injectors.
You have a common problem with the spark module inside the distributor. They work cold, but quit when they get hot. This happens when they get old. Replace it.
It does sound like a ignition module problem. Did you put the grease on the bottom of the module? I have seen made in Taiwan modules last for a day or two. Is it a quality module? Hopefully it's not made in Taiwan.
