I have a 85' c4 and im wanting to do away with all the smog stuff and want to know wat i will need and wat i move where... Any help is appreciated thanks!
If you want to remove the pump itself, you will need to fabricate a bracket to route the belt over, or buy one from Mid America or Corvette Central or one of those. I think its just called a smog pump eliminator kit. The one from Mid America looked nicer.
Otherwise, I cut off all the hard lines that ran into the exhaust manifold exiting each cylinder, and cut off the line just off of the cat. You can also remove all the rubber hoses and junk on the right front of the engine that connect to the smog pump.
If I remember, there is a vacuum line you have to reroute from the smog system to the fuel pressure regulator.

No need to cut anything ,
just unbolt everything and either use rubber caps on the one way valves or remove the valves and use 1/2" NPT pipe caps from a plumbing store to seal the AIR header on each manifold.
Remove line to cat and cap inlet pipe at cat
Along with the above good advice, when you get your eliminator kit, be sure to brace the alternator well since there is a lot of pressure from the belt system and the aluminum arm that supports the alternator will flex and bend. (I learned the hard way). I even made another thicker bracket to hold the alternator and it still flexed and tried to bend. I finally fabricated a brace from the rear of the alternator to the block and that stopped the bracket from trying to bend from the pressure of the belt.
If you don't have headers you need to cap off the air tubes on the manifolds. There is a pipe that runs along the front of the engine that is a pain to get off. I left mine on there for awhile until I had to swap waterpumps.
