Default !992 Optispark Harness Adapter

Optispark Harness Adapter
My new Msd opti 8381 arrived today and i noticed the Msd connector harness did not fit my 92 harness. I called eficonnection.com for help and they make an adapter harness to connect the two different harness plugs. (part # 100-00621).
According to eficonnection.com "This adapter harness is for use with 1992 Corvette only. If any 1993-1997 LT1 optispark harness is to be used with a 1992 Corvette, this adapter harness will make it plug and play. Also for use with 1992 Corvette when installing an MSD optispark (because MSD does not provide the correct connector for the 1992 Corvette). Approximately 6 inches in total length."

The 92 Corvette has a specific 5 wire connector. The extra wire is a shielded ground wire GM figured out they didn't need after one year.... Typical first year only stuff.

When I converted my 92 to the 2nd desgin Optispark I bought the 4 pin weather pack connector from EFI Connection. Then I de-pinned the 5 wire weather pack connector, clipped the ground wire/tapped it up and re-pinned it with the new 4 wire weather pack connector.

I might have this harness if you need it, I switched to a Delteq. The only question is where I put it...

Thanks a lot but I already ordered it from eficonnection. I was reading old posts about the 92 plug not matching the Msd harness connector. I was hoping that Msd still had an adaptor for this but they no longer carry it. They should provide it when the sell this opti to the 1992 corvette owners.
