Default Brain fart won't start

Ok so my project is done. New Bosch III injectors. New exotic muscle headers. New ac evaporator and heater core. It's all back together and when I turn the key to the start position there is nothing. The security light blinks and that's it. So I checked the battery terminals and clutch lock out. I hooked up my remote starter and it fired right up.

I've been over this in my head and I can't figure out what it could be. Would a faulty VATS do this? I did have the heater core out and think that's where the vats is.

I know it has to something simple and obvious but I can't for the life of me figure it out.

Ideas??

You really answered your own question out of frustration.

Its VATS,

Defective ignition key pellet,

Or the thin white pair of wires let go/ broke loose from the lock cylinder is my hunch.

Troubleshoot some on your own with a FSM for your 1989 Vette.

I have one. I think I disabled vats in the chip.

With key in "crank" position, check for power at clutch switch/gear selector switch. If it's not there, check at starter enable relay(behind info center)

Any stored codes, such as 46 ?

No code 46. I don't have any power to the clutch safety switch in the start position. Back to the manual.

Check your fuses. Mine did the same and my lcd fuse was blown in the passenger side compartment.

Thank you I will. I suspect its the plug on the Vats control module that is up under the passenger side dash. I'm thinking when I had that all apart to replace the heater core, I didn't plug it in the whole way. I should have some time later this week to check it.

OK I did some troubleshooting with my manual. I do not have power to the clutch safely switch. I moved the starter engage relay and I have battery power from both yellow wires to ground. If I place the jumper from E1 to the Green/White wire it cranks. So apparently the pass key control module is not pulling in the relay.

Where is the pass key control module? Is there a way to bypass the VATS crap? At this point, I can care less if someone wants to steal this thing!
