Here are some pics of the MINUS EGR tube setup. The motor isn't real pretty yet, but as always, a work in progress.
That is how I blocked the EGR Tube, The TPIS plate uses the stock tube gasket and just bolts over the intake hole, The tube on the exhause manifold was about the right size for a 1/2" pipe plug if I remember, I tapped the hole and just threaded in the plug to seal any possible leaks.
I relocated the temp switch with a threaded sleeve tack welded to the exhaust just below the manifold. The sleeve doesn't go through, the temp switch is sensing heat on the outside of the pipe, just like it did before.
So far, so good, no more code 32, no more heat tube. Makes changing the plugs a lot easier.
