Default Need part number

I have the March power & amp underdrive pulleys on my 87. Does anybody have the part number for the correct belt ? They are the same for 86 or 87 for sure.. Dont know about other years.

Do not guess - Install the pulleys then use a piece of "string" and route it around all the pulleys as the new belt would go until it forms a loop....you'll need to hold the tensioner pulley where you think it would normally ride of course. Remove the string and measure the length of what it took to make the loop to determine the new belt length.
Dayco brand belts come it .5 inch length differences which are normally listed in the item's description.

If I remember right I'm running a 90" inch belt on my 1989(different AC compressor/pulley though)

Ive had the pulleys on the car for 13 years. Had em on an 86 before that. I just want the # so I can go in and buy a belt with no hassel.

Assuming your belt is 13 plus years old I doubt there are any readable marks left. The number would tell you the length. The string trick will work but the safest is to remove the belt and take it to a parts house and measure, most have a fixture to do that or match with a new belt.

No the belt is not 13 years old. I'm just being lazy. If I had the number, I could get the belt and install it when its convenient. I actually posted the number for someone else, about 8 years ago. Dont think a search would find that thread though.

Have you looked for numbers on the belt?

Just did. Pretty faded. This is obviously no big deal. Just hoping someone had the numbers handy.

Jack, I found my old receipt. The March kit I run on my 1989 is #4425. The Gates belt # is 060905. I think that means it is a 90.5" belt. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I will check on that, but your 89 has adifferent AC unit. Pretty sure the belt is not the same. Just gave me an idea. I think I still have the box. My stock pulleys are in it. I will see whats there.

I looked it up and we use a different pulley set. I don't know if the belt is different. I do remember that the papers that came in the kit had the belt info for the application. Hopefully you kept yours. If not you can call March.
