I have a 1989 corvette with a super ram. I purchased a TNT nitrous kit (wet) and the nozzles that fit atop of the purple spacer are giving me problems. With this installed as it is supposed to be, I won't have enough room to close the hood. When I purchased this, I told the vendor that I had an 89 with a super ram and it is advertised as an LT1 nitrous kit, but he told me I would have no problems with it. Has anyone else purchased a TNT nitrous kit recently and encountered this problem?
One possible solution I have is to remove the nozzles and machine the purple aluminum spacer and insert the nozzles in from the side.
I have alwys heard that if you are running a super ram that you do not want to do a spray nozzle setup and that your only option is direct port.
If you are comfortable in using the nozzles, just skip using the throttle body plate, put the nozzles in the intake ducting and sell the plate. Or do as you suggested and remachine the plate. You could also try some hard lines instead of using the flexible tubing. It may save some space.
Direct port is the only way to fly with a super ram. Dry kits kind of cheat in a way, and they do things to the injectors that they were not designed to do at all. You WILL eventually fry the injectors.
