I need an expert. I have a feeling I am going to get a myriad of answers for what, at first, seems like a simple questio: Will a LT1 oil cap fit on a L98 engine?
Stock as far as I know. No adapter. I've had the car a long time and the guy I bought it from is not mechanically inclined. When I changed the intake all the parts looked stock. Pic:
Not a Fluke My 37k original 89 is exactly like yours.

Depends upon the year of the L98. All centerbolt valve covers for the L98 have screw in oil caps. the centerbolt valve covers started on some 1986 vette's and all 1987 and later vette's.

Ok, apparently I am incorrect. The 113 head change seems to make sense. That change happened in 1988.
Question does the 1987 vette have alum valve covers or steel valve covers?
