1996 Starter help
I have a 1996 corvette with an lt4 engine, Just recently the starter has not worked right. When I turn the key there is a clicking noise from the starter (I think its from it hitting the fly wheel). If I turn the key a bunch of times real quick I finally get the engine to turn over. I got the car when I was making good money, things have changed and I am hopping that this fix is something I can do (I have done work on my car before so I have some mechanical ability) and hopefully for cheap.

if you get the click you are lucky. tracing down all the options is a job.

Make sure the battery connections are tight. Most likely the solenoid on the starter is bad. You can either rebuild the solenoid, get the starter rebuilt of get a starter with a life time guarantee (which is what I do nowadays).
