thanks a milion for the pics, the upper bracket ( on the newspaper) i have it at home! the mechanic who installed the hooker long tubes headers gave it to me with the original exasust manifolds last year, i remembered asking him about it and why its not on the car and he said that it belongs to the manifolds and its not important!! now i had to replace my ac bracket last week after it broke down into 3 pieces!!! when i heard that im supose to have a suporting bracket between the compressor and the exasust manifold, i was suspecting it, but i couldnt figure out where it mounts!! it looks from the pics that it mounts on the front bolt on #4 tube, right?
and yes i have the bottom bracket already in its place, but i dont have the one that bolts on the water pump!!! by missing 2 supporting brackets, no wonder my ac bracket gave up and broke down!! im sure GM is smarter than that freaken mechanic!!

I don't know how to load pics here into the forum, otherwise I would show how mine broke into 3 pieces!! I got it for about $ 60 from a member but trust me man, it's not fun to put that thing in!!!
Hi
Make sure you hold the bracket in place before adding a/c.
Some water pumps do not allow the a/c bracket to seat properly, check for gaps at the head water pump and block mounting points.
Especially pay attention to the heater return pipe sticking out of the water pump , i ended up putting washers between the block and a/c bracket to make sure the a/c bracket was not under stress from misaligned mounting holes.
That is how my first a/c bracket broke when i tightened the bolts after replacing the water pump .... it was not machined properly at the bolt mounting. I know now to check the fit before i torque the bolts Please check this when fitting your replacement a/c bracket

I'm not sure... I already replaced the bracket with no troubles, actually I can't remember it had to do with anything with the water pump, exept for the heater hose, it fit perfectly there

make an account at photobucket . com
load your pics.
select your pics that you want to upload and use the IMG tag line. litterally it will give you 4 different loading options, copy the IMG tagline into your clipboard, then you go over to the forum you want to paste in and hit ctrl+v to paste (or right click and select paste). and there you go.

Thanks, I tried it and it didn't work because the image needs to be resized and I don't know how, I'll call my computer expert brother tomorrow to asklol him to do that! lol
