When removing the engine, we disconnected all the AC lines ... now want to get some cool air once more ... is the 94 R12 or R134? Is there an easy way to tell from the connectors?
The connectors for the high and low pressure fittings should be the new type and a dead giveaway. You almost can't get it wrong. They clamp on, not screw on like the R12 fittings.
I would replace the receiver dryer and any oil if necessary. Vacuum down, check for leaks before adding Freon.
