84 corvette wont start

84 corvette wont start

4 corvette wont start , when you turn the key nothing happens. radio lights locks all work . horn doesn't work. has new ignition switch. stator and solenoid. been test and work fine . checked all the fuse all good. no alarm light on the dash..checked fuse behind dic anyone have any ideas what to look at next

That was a rough post to read, but it SOUND like maybe you've checked fuses, solinoid and starter.

I would start with the Park Neutral safety switch (or cluch switch of stick), then the ignition switch on the column. If no issues there...harness. It can get hot by the starter area. Get out the DVOM and start checking continuity.

Sorry. was really aggravated ..when i wrote it.. i checked and tested everything i could think of .. i cant find any thing wrong .. but i know I am missing something. i will start checking everything again..

was messing with the relay behind the dic.. i can get the car to crank over but wont start

Check the starter. I have an 84 myself. Same thing you had and it was the starter.
It was for mine.
They dont last long being so close to the pipes.

was that the condition all along -cranks, no start?

if we assume that cranking speed is ok, fuel in the tank, you need air and spark -also fuel at the right time. without some fairly complete information, you won't have a good chance of getting help. it's just a long guessing game, because the causes for that are pages long.

does it set any codes in ecm? does it have a strong spark? etc.

at first it didn't do anything when you turned the key..now i can get it crank over but wont start..just had the ignition module checked , it was good .. still wont start..
