are all emblems' mount screws not semetrical?

are all emblems' mount screws not semetrical?
Im repainting my 89 and I noticed the holes are not centered in the gas door and the hood. The pegs are ascue. Are all emblems like this for each year? I want to put 87 emblems on it cause they have more red but if that means drilling new holes I might have to pass...

Agent is right - the 84 to 90 emblems are the same.

So the answer to the OP's question is yes, all 84 - 90 emblems mount the same way.

well then, that seems good. Yea ecklers is waaaaaay over priced. I got a pair for my 87 about 3 years ago for 60 bucks for both. They looked the same as any other.

Actually, I only posted the Ecklers link for illustration purposes.
I also found my old emblems, and yes, even for 91 - 96, the mounting studs aren't centered. I'm sure it was designed to prevent improper mounting (would hate for a bunch of cars to go out the door with the emblems mounted upside down!).
