Corvettes with OPIT SPARK putting new wires in is OMG lot's work so I guess put in the best we can find . Vetts that are easy I guess you could try cheeper ones if didn't work no big deal.. OPIT SPARK ones no way ,just hard to change so go for the best ..It's a Hot Rod thing... Wires can't be big enough ..More power...More money..Go to love it.. A big set of wires and a MSD hot coil O-YES ..Lot's better gas more power and looks cool...

I replaced the Standard brand wires that were on the car with Taylor 8mm spiro cores and re-gapped the AC delco platinum plugs to .045. It all made a very noticeable difference in smoothness of idle and reduced hesitation off idle. I can spin the tires without having to brake torque now 
. Of course I routed the wires and separated them much better this time so that might have helped too.
