Default HELP!! code 43 Knock Sensor or Electronic Spark Control

I pulled the codes from my car today because I've been having some trouble with my engine saposidly not comming out of cold start mode and I got a 43. Chilton says that is it a Knock Sensor or Electronic Spark Control. Could anyone explain this one to me. Thanks

Nobody seems to be helping on this one ,I think we need more info.
What excatly are the autos problems ,Whats it doing? What have you done to it lately?
Why do you think its stuck in code start mode?
Is it running rich?If so its usually the O2 sensor. :chevy

code 43 indicates your knock sensor or sensors are open circuit or grounded. not entirely sure of the connection with your stalling problem tho.

I had the same code on my Vette when I took it out of storage. They Have two Knock sensors on the motor. One was bad I did an Ohm reading on the sensors and when I wiggled on of the termals the Multimeater went to OL and that was the bad sensor.

Default Code 43, 3000 RPM Bogging

I just got back from a 1/2 day at the track and had some trouble.....once again I see the code 43, Electronic Spark Control on the Scanner. The car did great in the Morning, but by the afternoon, it developed a miss and I could hear what sounded like backfiring under the hood. Right at 3000 rpm and on up, it just bogged down and refused to go any faster. Before I knew it, the car just died out on the track with a group of ZO6's behind me......I', glad it was a group of fellow Vette drivers behind me though. Anyway, rather then ruin anything further, I decided to call it a day and take the car back home. Sub 3000 rpm, all was good, above that, all hell breaks loose.

Tomorrow I'll head down to the local auto parts store and swap out both Knock Sensors and see if that clears the codes......I hope so as spending 1/2 the day at the track is not making me a happy camper. I'll let you know the outcome.
