I came home today and the postman had left a note saying they had tried to drop off a package.
Yes! It had to be the Wide Band O2 sensor! I've had a slight lul in my ordering from summit. :D
I immediately raced down to the PO to see what it was. I was like the kid in the Christmas Story at the counter! He pulled a package from the back and handed it to me. The size was about right, the weight was about on target. I couldn't wait! I started tearing at the package like a mad man. Yes I was right. I now have in my hands my WBO2 sensor! My electrician showed me what needed connected and I am going to be rockin and rolling.
This in conjuction with the Vigilante TC coming in the next two or so days is just too much for words.
Here I come 12s! I'm soooo excited I almost have a woody! :p:
It's along the same lines as the O2 sensor in your exhaust now that feeds information back to the ECM. This however and unlike your stock O2 has a wide band that it is very accurate at. So unlike your stock o2 I can use it to tune the cars A/F ratio.
Its also the same as the one that would be used if you took your car to a dyno. Ever see the A/F ratio at the bottom of the graphs. Thats what this will do.
You know after seeing the unit and looking at it for a while. My electrician and I have decided that we *may* try to make some and sell them.
Perhaps I could try to get a list of individuals who might be interested. You would be looking at ~150 bucks for one. Then you also need the sensor ~130 more dollars.
I will have to see how long it takes to make one first.
