Im upgrading my tpi to high flow base, runners, and ported plenum. I got the plenum off and everything is slightly wet with gas... how is this possible? I drove the car friday and it ran perfect...
The diaphram could have torn. I'm not 100% sure if this would send a ton of fuel into the motor, but you can usually pick up a new regulator from most automotive places. Here are a couple of them.
If it does turn out to be your FPR diaphram you can get the best price at the site below..Pull the vaccuam hose off your FPR and see if there is fuel in it, if so its probably the diaphram......WW

This could be normal, there is a certain amount of fuel that is absorbed into the carbon deposits behind the intake valves and intake ports that later evaporates. There is also some fuel that is pumped back into the induction system at idle or low RPM during the compression stroke due to valve overlap and the intake valve still being open at the beginning of the compression stroke. Under certain conditions, such as not getting the engine completely warmed up when run last, that this fuel will condense and deposit itself on cooler surfaces, such as your plenum. Some of today's engine management systems actually compensate for this phenomena and why one reason why direct injection (injecting fuel directly into the combustion chamber) is becoming so popular.
