Stock MAF setup uses a hot "wire". However - a company called Microtech (sold online and stocked in Advanced autoparts retail stores) makes several aftermarket replacement "film" strip types of MAF it is suposed to be a drop in replace for the early Bosch hot "wire" MAF....functional principle's are the same on both. I've run one for a number of years...works great and comes with a lifetime replacement warranty....which I've used once already.
