Long Crank Time
I just bought this 88 and have no history on it. It cranks over for quite a while before starting(4+ seconds cold) Once started, it idles a little rough. I am thinking it is flooding(leaky injector)? It does this hot also but not the same. If I give it any gas at all, it will flood out. So I guess a good place to start would be to check the injectors? Anyone know how to you check to see if your injectors are leaking without removing them?

Your '88, if stock, should have an extra CS injector (cold start) - this might be a good place to start your troubleshooting. Contact the person you bought the car from and ask some more questions about its history.

The best place to start would be to do some basic fuel rail pressure checks to see what is what. Check for correct rail pressure and bleed off times. If issues are present you should address these first. The fuel which feed the cold start injector comes from the same fuel rail that feeds the other 8 injectors so again it is important that if there is an issue with another part of the fuel/fuel rail system that it be addressed.
If the rail pressure checks turn out well are are as they should be then I'd look further into the cold start injector. If it were me, I'd wait until the car was totally cold then unscrew the the hold down bolt and slightly pull the CS injector loose from the hole in the intake to the point where I could get a portion of a rag in-between the intake and the injector then I'd crank the engine to see if the entire cold start injector was in fact working. If fuel shoots out of the injector when you start to crank your all good. If no fuel you'll need to dig into it all a bit further.
Expend your energeries elsewhere.
