where is the location of crank shaft sensor in a 1992 lt1 vette? thanks for the help.

It doesn't have one. No crank sensors until OBDII in '96.

thanks, having problems getting to crank, new optispark, ing switch, & coil, not getting any fire or fuel, had car running after o/s installed and after running about 10 or 12 times, now won't fire up.

It could be a coincidence that the ICM went bad and won't drive the coil to make spark. I would check for the 1-4 volts A/C (while cranking) out of the ECM that drives the ICM. Measure pin B, white wire of the ICM connector.

Or, possible bad opti just crapped out. What brand of opti did you use.
If you don’t get the A/C drive from the ECM, then that might indicate there is no low resolution pulse from the opti to drive the ECM and clock the pulses thru.
