Speaking of which I've been waiting to see the results of your modified superram and exhaust termination boxes in action...
Actually a modified TPI. It put down 420rwhp and 417rwhp through an unlocked A4. At the track with a weight of about 3650 pounds and a DA of 1800' it did a 11.57 at about 116mph. I have a new long tube runner setup waiting to go on the dyno as soon as the above mentioned person gets done with his setup. Hahahaha.

Right right TPI with a ported FIRST base? Man I need to catch up over on TGO. Those are solid numbers! Congrats! I need to go read that thread...
Here are pics of the second set back from the coaters. These will go on Saturday and I'll post more pics. Haven't made it back to the dyno yet, probably after Christmas.
Those are really nice I could sure use a set.Is Don Gearing up for production of these.I have been waiting for you to post a pic of the final product. They are absolutely beautiful. Please tell Don not to forget about me thanks,Steve.
Got the headers installed today in a record three hours. Since the Air Tubes are now on the headers, it took a little bit more effort to get them in. On the drivers side we loosened the alternator and flipped it up to get clearance to drop it in from the top. On the passenger side we dropped the starter and pushed it in place from the bottom. I did this to avoid scratching the coating, it probably would have dropped in from the top but it was tight. As with the stock header, I had to unfasten and move the A/C compressor for the passenger side removal and install. I guess I should have wiped them down before taking the pictures to remove my greasy hand prints, but my time on the lift was running out. Now I'm gonna have to clean the rest of the engine, these headers make it look like a grease pit.
The fit is perfect and all air equipment and the EGR tube bolted right up. If you're interested, you can contact him at ThirdGen.Org. I'm very happy with them.
I agree that the workmanship and engineering are high quality on these shortys!
I have a novice question though...for a near stock L98 engine, driven on the street only (for now) what would give more torque, and therefore more driveability? These shortys with quality connections to a cross over pipe and good rear exhaust, OR long tube headers, with the same cross over pipe and good rear exhaust?
