Sounds really good. When we put them on the Harleys I liked to use the open caps, they are equal to about 9 diffuser discs. You can remove some of the disc you have in these and install them. They are not much louder, except when you are at WOT.
That was a great price you bought these for.

Sorry for my ignorance, what is the benefit of these? I've always thought you want the exhaust to flow as easily as possible, where as these seem to add an obstruction at the end of the system. I know callaway used them so Im not doubting them or saying they are no good, I just dont understand what you are trying to accomplish with them.

Looks good. I'd be concerned that the exhaust heat would damage the underside of the bumper.
Another suggestion to reduce resonance is have the pipes mounted so they are at least one inch past the body work.

Really nice work on the install. Personally, I would rather see unrestricted open pipes but to each his own.

Took the car on a cruise last night and Im still very happy with the exhaust !
No resonance in the cab anymore, the car is much smoother to drive, it must have made some improvement to the engine efficiency, on a stretch of road into the city (80kph limit) and it was getting around 30 to 33 mpg !
The total cost of this project was $290,
jrriflecoach - I wanted to get them out 1 or 2 inches but the exhaust guy would have had to make up new joiner pipes to achieve it, I still have the option of having the stainless muffler slid down the pipe an inch, but that will involve getting it up on the hoist again and getting the oxy out,
383vett - its only 2 bolts to remove the inserts and run straight thru, I will give it a try and see what its like !
now its on to my next project. . . .
