I recently cured my "no start" issues with a new fuel pump, new MAF and new MAF Power and Burnoff relays. The car ran and drove fine for a few days, but now I'm back to not getting it to start. I get a code 41 with my code scanner..."Electronic Spark Control Timing Error". Any ideas on how to get me back on the road again?
FSM says it could be an ECM ground problem. You may want to look at the ECM's grounds at block, just above oil filter. Be sure that the connections are clean and tight.

Thanks for the link! Would you by any chance have a pic of that, or know where I might find one? Is it something I can access from above/on top? Any kind of multimeter tests I should do?
I was getting a code 41 last year turned out to be a broken wire inside the the outer jacket right after the est connector. I couldnt see it but after probing it I found out where it was

You didn't say what year your car is but this happend to my '86 which turned out to a malfunctioning PROM:
I would imagine it would be easier from below.
You could follow the flow chart and check for ground at ECM connector.
Hi Agent86...
Is this the ground I should be looking for? I can see how it will probably be easier to get to from underneath.
Do I just clean it and check it for good contact? Anything I need to check with a meter while I am down there?
Know where I could view the "flow chart"? Also, can you tell me where I might find the ECM connector you mentioned?
Thanks for the reply!
Yes, that is the main ground with all the ECM's grounds. You could clean each terminal and reinstall.
The flow chart is the diagnostic chart included in the code 41 link, that I gave you in my first post.
