Well it was all good, but not anymore, my car is now slow at WOT and now it is backfiring at WOT as well. It feels like my pistons don't want to move. I thought it was push rods, but I was wrong.
The car has 60K miles replaced cap/rotor/wires and got a new exhaust y-pipe and catyltic converter. Other than that it's all stock.
You need to check your fuel pressure, ignition timing, adjust TPS sensor, check for diagnostic codes and test your injectors. If you are still using your stock 23 year old injectors you'd be surprised how different the car would feel with new ones.

Have you checked for stored "trouble codes" yet?
there are many things to check before throwing parts at it.
To me, from your description, it sounds like a MAF/fueling related issue.
Greggpenn was right I had a spark plug wire on the wrong plug.. Feel stupid for not seeing it. Now for the adjustment process on the push rods I did 1/4turn, how many turns are you suppose to do?
its a roller/hydraulic cam/lifter. Unless the heads have been off or rockers removed there is more harm than good if you start messing with rocker adjustment. You are no where near the miles to consider that. The tick that you hear is injectors, not valves.
