Notice that link is for header extentions, not headers. The headers show $771. EM (Merle) typically has a GP going where he sells them in the upper $600s (IIRC). So, ask about that if you call.
There are plenty of people who've installed these headers and are very happy with fitment.
Yes, you'll have to remove or relocate cats. If you get a set w/o AIR hookups, you'd have to deal with that too. And, as usual with most header installations, you'll need to redo an accessory brace or two.
<snicker> You're not moving the cats, you're removing them or replacing them with bullet cats. I suppose you could cut giant holes in the transmission tunnel if you wanted to relocate the factory cats aft.
Some cars need the following, some don't (not that big of a deal to do):
Driver's side engine mount bracket clearance:
Passenger side frame cross-brace clearance:
Random Technology bullet cats on EM extensions that fit to a Corsa exhaust:

<Really?> You'd be moving bullet cats to a different-than-stock location. That was my point.

I was responding to the OP, hence the reason it is contained in the quote box of my post. You will also notice that I specifically say "factory cats" in my response.

are those 1 7/8" ? I hear EM makes those. Those look big in diameter (which is good).
Also, is there a scavenger spike in-between where the primary tube comes together?

ARH makes a stepped header, 1 3/4-1 7/8 which I use. It has the merged collector spike you are looking for. These headers were good for a tenth to a tenth and a half reduction in the quarter over 1 3/4 Hookers in my car.
I have them on my 93 LT1, very nice headers. Only fitment "problems", I had to reverse the motor mount bolts so that the nut is now screwed on from the front of the car. It's also a little difficult getting the second header bolt from the front of the motor on pass side started, start it first before all the others or it won't go in. The header flanges were pretty crooked, had to take a belt sander to them and use Percy's header gaskets to get a good seal with no leaks. You will love the improvement in hp, and tq and the sound is nice too.
It's not an easy job getting the old iron headers off. Especially the bell housing bolts near the top that hold the cat mounts, it's difficult but not impossible. I had to raise the motor, remove both motor mounts, then lower the motor to get to those 4 bolts.
I did not have a positive experience with EM headers. I still have not gotten the header flanges to seal properly, but have given up because im sick of pulling them in and out. The drivers header fit was fine but the passenger i've had problems with. I had to heat and bend one of the primary tubes as it interfered with my upper control arm.
For the price, and especially since they are not stainless, i think there are better options.
I'm just one guy though, there have been other people with positive experiences.

Next time you take them out, weld on the ball/socket flanges, works great!
